Notes on Getting Married

At times, transformation is a long and laborious process. But when you find yourself at the other end of change, suddenly it seemed to have all taken place overnight.

I spent the New Year with my new husband. The most surreal thing about getting married is that this period of time, four years of roaming around like a rolling stone, has come to a close. I had forgotten what it was like to spread out and live from more than what can be stuffed inside of a couple of suitcases or a car. I adore the experiences I’ve claimed during my time spent focusing and carving out the life that I want for myself, but I had also grown very tired and I’m thankful to have someone who I can lean into and share a life with.

In a way, the name and structure of this website no longer seems fitting. I don’t feel caught “between these things“anymore, but rather I feel I’ve finally transitioned from one movement to another.

I have so many ideas for what’s ahead– book projects, curation, an international workshop, more writing, and, most of all, enjoying this enormously small world. I hope you continue to follow along on the journey. Happy New Year!
