Mary Oliver

Starling, 2014

One of my earliest posts here in the journal were words by Mary Oliver. I remember first reading them, feeling as if she reached into my very soul to see what it was that I, myself, also yearned for.

“I want to be improbable, beautiful and afraid of nothing, as though I had wings.”

-excerpt from Mary Oliver’s Starlings in Winter
