I’ve been trying a new thing lately, where I’m slowly peeling away from Meta platforms. You might have noticed that my recent blog entries aren’t quite what they used to be (a bit shorter, more casual, and time-sensitive). For each Instagram post getting a certain number of likes, I’ve decided to migrate that content over here to my blog. There is such a massive archive of words and images on Instagram that I can’t imagine fully unplugging, but I’d definitely like to explore options for breaking up my dependency on Meta. Hence, my recent hop over to Blue Sky. This isn’t my first time trying out other options (which typically fizzle out within a few short weeks or months)…but so far the community energy seems really beautiful over on Blue Sky where I’ve had *meaningful* interactions with not only real-life friends, but also new virtual connections.
