There is a new landscape taking over Shantiniketan: mounds of earth, cement boundary walls and new construction. Day by day, another open view of the paddy fields becomes obscured by a new resort or vacation home.
This collection of images is simply an archive from yesterday’s outing along a 1.5 mile stretch of road (save for one taken just near my house as I was leaving). They are not fully edited (note: major dust spots), not sequenced, and I haven’t formed the proper words to pair with them quite yet. It’s just that the landscape is changing so quickly I felt I had to document what I could: the messy in between of ‘before’ and ‘after’.
