Dew Drops and Synchronicity

I’m sitting beneath a tree with dew falling in heavy, punctuated drops. This morning the fog drew me away from the computer that has kept far too tight of a grasp on me the past few months.

Recently, synchronicity has been appearing in my life once again. Connections so strong and strange that they hardly feel like coincidence.

For all of my Cardinal friends, the most surprising of these has been the visit from two Otterbein professors in this small rural corner of West Bengal. (One was Dr. Frick from the English department!) They co-curated an exhibition featured in the Bengal Biennale– the same festival I’ve been coordinating workshops/studio visits for since September.

To add to the theme of synchronous connection, the exhibition is inspired by the travel writings of a woman who got to see much more of the world than most at that time…and it’s here on the other side of the globe that these reminders from home have appeared.
